Trophy Beach Fragments - 36x48
Trophy Beach Fragments - 36x48
A large mixed-media wall piece, Trophy Beach Fragments, evokes the weathered edges and textured rhythms of sunlit shores; the broken ceramic shards catch light like scattered shells while the matte, smoky iron oxide suggests tide-worn stones and shadowed crevices. The artist’s reference to beaches in beautiful destinations is evident in the work’s palette and composition—soft washes of acrylic color recall shallow surf and pale sand, while the rough, irregular ceramic pieces map the shoreline’s detritus and human traces. The overall effect is simultaneously tactile and atmospheric: a collage of memory and place that balances quiet erosion with moments of luminous sheen, inviting viewers to trace the coastal landscape through material fragments.
Stoneware and porcelain fragments with sealed black iron oxide on board with acrylic paint.
